Now through October 16th, your sales will go toward 2023-2024 student field trip expenses at Ryerson. The students with the top three sales will be invited to do Morning Announcements at Ryerson, plus they will each receive a special prize from the PTO!

Join the Ryerson, Jeffrey, and Brown PTOs for a fun morning at the beach making our world a cleaner place! We will be at Garvin's Point, Rain or Shine tomorrow, Saturday, October 7 from 8am-10am.

The Long Island Sound is one of the nation's greatest estuaries, and by coming together to clean Madison's beach areas, we can prevent harm to our environment! We will bring supplies, but if you have any extra gloves please bring them along. We also recommend wearing work clothes, and closed toe shoes, and bringing plenty of water, a hat, and sunscreen.

No need to register - bring a raincoat and a friend, and join us!

The kindergarten and first graders had a blast at our author visit from Sherri Duskey Rinker today! We are so happy to have heard her talk about what it's like to be an author and write books kids love! Thank you to all who purchased copies of Ms. Rinker's newest book ahead of her visit to Ryerson today.

Do you have used or old sneakers hanging around the house? Starting Thursday, October 12, and throughout the year, we will be collecting gently used sneakers to be recycled. Please look for the bin in the lobby marked "Sneaker Drive." Ryerson will receive a small amount per donated pair, and we will all be able to prevent extra waste ending up in landfills!

Time to show off all that new Spirit Wear!  Wear your black and gold or Ryerson swag on Friday, October 13th. Show your Ryerson pride!  

All Spirit Wear purchases will be delivered to students before next Friday.

Our Family Trick or Treat Night is scheduled for Thursday, October 26. Teachers will be passing out candy at each of their classrooms, so put on your costumes and come trick or treat early with us!

Parents, this evening will also be your chance to shop the Scholastic Book Fair.

This event is hugely popular and we anticipate up to 200 children visiting each of our classrooms. Our teachers will be donating some candy, but we would love to be able to make sure no one runs out! Please click here to sign up to donate candy to the event.

We are asking for volunteers to help decorate on the afternoon before the event. Please click here if you are interested in lending a hand!

Support Ryerson PTO while stocking your bookshelves and gift bags! Each class will have a 30 minute period to browse and shop, and students who wish for more shopping time may visit the store on Thursday or Friday. Best of all, the PTO will donate all profits right back to our classrooms. Our profits will be divided amongst the teachers as credits to purchase books for the classrooms. If you'd like to avoid sending in your student with cash, Scholastic makes it easy to set up an eWallet, which can be used to pay for purchases at the Book Fair. Best of all, you can send invitations to friends and family to contribute funds to your student's purchases!

Adrenaline Rush Trampoline Park in East Haven is hosting a Ryerson benefit day! For each jumper who mentions Ryerson Elementary School, Adrenaline Rush will donate 50% to the Ryerson PTO.

Please bring your non-perishable food donations to the collection bin in the Ryerson Lobby between October 17 and November 14. Consider bringing your donation to your Parent-Teacher Conference!

 Let's all pitch in to make sure none of our neighbors go without. All donations will be given to the Madison Food Pantry before Thanksgiving.

Extracurricular Session 2 will run during the weeks of November 13 through December 15, excluding the week of Thanksgiving. We will continue to offer many of the favorite classes from Session 1. Please stay tuned for more information on offerings, schedule, and pricing.

Session 2 Registration will open October 21. Please note, Session 2 will be available for students in Grades 1 through 3. Kindergartners will be welcome to join us for our Winter Session 1, aka Winter Workshops, which will take place after Winter Recess.
