Ryerson PTO is partnering with Adrenaline Rush Trampoline Park in East Haven to host a Ryerson benefit day! For each jumper who arrives between 4pm and 8pm, if you mention Ryerson Elementary School, Adrenaline Rush will donate 50% of proceeds to the Ryerson PTO.

Thank you all for your support of the Ryerson Pies and Cookie Dough Sale! Thanks to your participation, we have raised $4500 to offset field trip expenses for the school year!

All frozen purchases will be delivered to Ryerson on Wednesday, November 8 (tomorrow) and available for pickup between 4:30 and 6:30pm that day. Please note that because the pies and cookie dough come frozen, the PTO is unable to hold or store any items past 6:30pm tomorrow.

All Simply Shipped items will be shipped directly to the purchaser.

We are looking for volunteers to help sort the orders during the 3:45-4:45pm time frame. Please email ptoryerson@gmail.com if you are available to lend a hand! Children are welcome to help or play while we sort.

We are partnering with The Hornet's Nest Deli to provide free food delivery on BINGO Night. All food must be ordered as a pickup order, and indicate "Ryerson BINGO Night 11/10/23" in the order notes. Orders must be placed by tomorrow!

This event is FREE and open to Ryerson Families, including siblings. We will accept good-will donations at the door. We do ask you to RSVP if you would like to guarantee entry to the event. If you do not RSVP we cannot guarantee a spot for your family at the tables. Can't wait to see you and your family then!

Note to families with more than one student at Ryerson: you may choose to place all of your orders through one account for one of your students, or you may create different log-ins for each of your students.  Each log-in must be associated with a separate email address.

Spend a relaxing Saturday evening with your friends from Ryerson School! Art Matters Studio is offering Ryerson PTO a generous rate of $30 per person for a paint party on Saturday, December 2. Our instructor will guide us through painting a beautiful Northern Lights scene to get us all in the Winter Spirit!

Bring a beverage of choice for yourself or to share. Remember, this is an adult only event! Space is limited so reserve your space now!

We're on our way to another session of enrichment programs at Ryerson! Winter Workshops provide as many kids as possible with FUN educational experiences. Workshops are planned and taught by our Ryerson parents, allowing us to get involved in the excitement of the Ryerson Community.

The more parents who volunteer to teach, the more students we can include! As an instructor, your child would be guaranteed placement in their first choice of workshop, at no fee. Teachers will be asked to plan and teach four one-hour lessons pertaining to the workshop topic. You will be given a stipend for materials needed for your class. You are welcome to team up with a friend and co-teach (limit 3 teachers per class). You will be provided with an assistant at each class.

All workshops will take place 3:30-4:45pm on the following dates:

This December 6th we will be offering the second annual Ryerson Holiday Store in the Ryerson Library!

Students will be welcome to shop a variety of gift items, in order to stock up for gift-giving in the upcoming winter holidays. Each class will have time to shop and all gifts will be wrapped. Please be on the lookout for our Holiday Store Catalogue ahead of time to help your student get an idea of what they would like to purchase! We will be accepting cash only.

We will be sending out a sign up for parent helpers for the day so please keep an eye out for that if you would like to volunteer!

We still have spaces available in our LEGO STEAM and Painting Extracurricular classes during Extracurricular Enrichment Session 2, running during the weeks of November 13 through December 15, excluding the week of Thanksgiving. 

We welcome grades 1-3 to participate in Session 2. Kindergartners will be welcome to join us for our Winter Session 1, aka Winter Workshops, which will take place after Winter Recess.

We are happy to collect non-perishable foods on behalf of the Madison Food Pantry in the Ryerson Lobby this month. We thank you for double checking that any donations are not expired. We are looking for the following items:

Don't miss your chance to cheer on the local pro hockey team with your Ryerson friends! The PTO has booked a block of tickets at the Bridgeport Islanders hockey game at 3pm on January 7, 2024. Our block ticket sales will open on November 20, 2023 so stay tuned for more information!

Join us in making the 2023 Ryerson Holiday Toy Drive the ultimate success! We are collecting new, unwrapped toys in the Ryerson lobby between November 28 and December 9.

Do you have used or old sneakers hanging around the house? Throughout the year, we will be collecting gently used sneakers to be recycled through our fundraising program with GotSneakers.com. 

Please look for the bin in the lobby marked "Sneaker Drive." Ryerson will receive a small amount per donated pair, and we will all be able to prevent extra waste ending up in landfills!
